About
Greetings!
I'm Justin, a game programmer majoring in Computer Science: Computer Game Design (B.S.) at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I've been formally studying game programming for two years but my history of making games dates all the way back to fourth grade.

I realized I wanted to pursue a career in game development during ninth grade after playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch. It was the best game I've ever played, equipped with an enchanting world, awe-inspiring story, unforgettable characters, and electrifying gameplay. The entire experience left such a profound impact on me that I became inspired to pursue a dream of creating similar experiences for others—ones that not only entertain but can also change lives.
In each game I work on, I draw on my experience working across a large range of different game engines and programming languages, which has made me the quick learner and adaptable developer I am today. When programming, I focus on producing developer-friendly code. I strongly believe that readable code is the key to swift development and rapid performance.

In collaborative environments, I prioritize fostering positive and effective teamwork, and valuing each and every idea. I know that the greatest things are achieved together, and that the best ideas can come from anywhere.

In my approach to game development, my passion and aspirations lie at the heart of everything I do. They’re what drive me to always seek to learn more, improve more, and achieve what once seemed impossible. With each of my projects, I aim to grow both as a developer and as a person, always working toward my dream of creating fun and meaningful gaming experiences.
