About
Greetings!
I'm Justin, a game programming student studying Computer Science: Computer Game Design (B.S.) at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I've been formally studying game programming for two years but my history of making games dates all the way back to fourth grade.

My desire to become a game programmer truly solidified in ninth grade after playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2, now my favorite game of all time, on the Nintendo Switch. While playing, I found myself whisked away to an enchanting world with unforgettable characters, a captivating story, and exhilarating gameplay. The experience left such a profound impact on me that I became inspired to pursue a dream of creating similar experiences for others—ones that not only entertain but can also change lives.
In the games I work on, I draw on my experience working across a large range of different game engines and programming languages, which has made me the quick learner and adaptable developer I am today. When programming, I focus on writing efficient and developer-friendly code. I care as much about those who read my code as I do those who play my games.

In team environments, I care deeply about fostering effective teamwork. I believe the best ideas can come from anywhere, so I work to ensure that everyone is heard, respected, and encouraged to share their ideas—especially the ones they think might seem dumb or useless.

In my approach to game development, my passion and aspirations lie at the heart of everything I do. They're what drive me to always seek to learn more, improve more, and achieve things that once seemed impossible. With each of my projects, I aim to grow both as a developer and as a person, always moving toward my dream of creating meaningful and memorable gaming experiences.
